Terms
These apply when you use excel-lessons.com. They are short because the product is small. Using the site means you accept them.
Excel Lessons is run by Excel Lessons. "We" below means them. You need to be 16 or over to make an account, or have a parent's or guardian's permission.
What you get
Lessons that mark what you type. The first lesson needs no account. The second needs a free one. Everything after them needs a subscription.
The lessons will change. We add them, rewrite them and occasionally remove one that is not working. A lesson you completed stays completed.
What we ask
- One account per person, and accurate details on it.
- Do not scrape the lessons or republish them. They are ours, and copying them is the one thing that would actually damage this.
- Do not attack the site, the grading service or other people's accounts.
- Share your own answers with anyone you like. It is your work.
- Keep your password to yourself. What happens on your account is on you until you tell us it has been taken.
We can close an account that breaks these. If we do, we will say which one and why.
Whose it is
The lessons, the grids, the text, the marking and the design are ours, and all rights in them are reserved. You may use them to learn, on this site, for yourself or for the team you signed up. You may not copy them into another product, another course or another site, in whole or in part, with or without changes.
What you type stays yours. You give us permission to store it and mark it, which is the only thing we do with it. Excel is Microsoft's; the names of its functions are used here because they are the names of the things being taught.
Payments
The first lesson is free and needs no account. The second is free with one. Everything after them is paid, at the prices on the pricing page, in US dollars: $44.99 a year, $14.99 a month, or $169 once for lifetime access.
Paddle is the merchant of record, which means your contract for payment is with Paddle and their terms apply to the transaction. Card details never reach this site. The charge on your statement says Paddle, not Excel Lessons.
A subscription runs until you cancel it, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than the current period: you keep every lesson until the period you paid for runs out. The lifetime plan does not renew and has nothing to cancel.
Fifteen days to change your mind, on any plan, with no reason asked for. How to ask is on the refunds page.
Prices can change. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and a lifetime purchase is not affected by one at all.
What we do not promise
This teaches Excel formulas. It is not certified by Microsoft, it is not a qualification, and passing every lesson is not a guarantee of anything at work. The site is provided as it is; we do not promise it will never be down, and, as far as the law lets us say so, we are not liable for what you do with what you learn or for anything you lose because the site was unavailable. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Leaving
Delete your account whenever you like, from the account page. It takes effect immediately and removes your progress and your answers with it. What we keep and why is set out on the privacy page.
Changes, and which law
If these terms change, the date below changes with it, and a change that matters is announced on the site before it takes effect. Carrying on after that means you accept the new ones; if you do not, delete your account and nothing more is owed either way.
